HOW IT WORKS

Phone consultation:
I will set up a 15-30 minute phone consultation to determine what issues
you’re experiencing, how I can help you, and to give you the opportunity to ask questions.
If we decided we would like to move forward, we will set up an appointment for an evaluation.

The Contract:
I send a copy of my contract, and policies, for you to look over before we even begin. My contract is primarily our agreement to treat each other with kindness and respect.  It does NOT obligate you to a training program.  I want my clients to enjoy working with me, and to keep working with me because they get what they need, not because they have to. You pay for each session as you go, no upfront costs.

The Evaluation (~ 1 hour):
I start with an "intake form" which you fill out for me online. This gives me the opportunity to be very thorough in my evaluation and see all the areas that may be contributing to your current issues. This also allows me to see the areas that are in great shape, and which may have the potential to be expanded and help us in creating a well-balanced, happy human/canine relationship, home, and life-style.

In Person: When we meet, I will work with each canine in your household to discover how food motivated they are, how fast they learn, how much they enjoy learning (or don't), if they read body language and facial expressions, their overall stress/anxiety levels, how willing they are to let me take control of the situation (I never do anything to hurt, or frighten them), how easy they are to handle, how pushy, demanding, controlling they are, if they have any bonding/anxiety issues with you, and more if they allow it.
Whether they let me do all my tests, some or none, I learn a lot of information by meeting your dog and get to know who I'm working with.
If your canine has high levels of fear or anxiety and cannot relax, or their anxiety goes up over time, I'll send them home. If necessary we can finish the evaluation online.

Online: I will send an invitation via Google Meet. Preferably, I will have the opportunity to see your fur babies and you can perform certain interactions with them (with my guidance) so that I can see how they respond (nothing to hurt or frighten them).  Again, the goal is to learn about who I'm workng with.

After testing each animal, I will ask for any clarification or additional details I need. Then I will tell you what I see happening, why it’s happening, and what we can do about it.
Once I finish the evaluation, you decide if you'd like to work with me or not. Again, you're not under any obligation. If you do decide to work with me, I will use all the information gathered to create a personalized program to meet all your needs and I will email you homework to get you started right away.

Human Training (~1.5 hours):

Since you will be the primary trainer of your canine companion(s), I need to start with a human-only training session. This is where I give you the primer for understand the why's and how's of interacting with your companion animal. I will explain relational awareness, the law of behavior, the use of rewards to turn behaviors on and off, the training cycles, how to engage or disengage appropriately, and how to use this knowlege to successfully interact with living beings.
I want to ensure that everything goes as smoothly as possible, right from the beginning. I want to set you up to succeed!

Canine Training (1 hr, 45 min, or 30 min - every other week):
Working  with your canine(s) to resolve any issues you/they have I will teach you how to utilize rewards, natural behaviors, instincts, communication skills, sound markers, and more. We'll intigrate all of these into a variety of life-games and regulation techniques, to give you the reliable results you need.

I work for all individuals involved to get their needs met, and enjoy their experience

*All programs, whether working in person, or remotely, are accompanied by written programs/instructions emailed to you. I give LOTS of homework!

If you are interested in discovering if we can work together,
please send me an email at FENRISociety@gmail.com
Include what breed & age of canine you have, what issues you are primarily concerned with, your name, phone number and a good time to reach you.
Canine Training Through Relationship Building
No force, No fear, No harm
I encourage and help humans to create harmonious relationships with ALL the living beings in their experience
When working with humans and their canine companions, I use training that is respectful and fun for all involved.

It's much easier to get cooperation when
what we are being asked to do, is something
we enjoy and want to do.

Find Your Peace
I teach canines and their humans how to relax,
to "find their peace", get calm, and learn to self-regulate
we then stretch this to include staying regulated
even in the presence of intense stimuli.

Building Love, Trust & Respect

I work to help you build confidence both in and for
your canine companion, and for yourself,
by creating a relationship based in love, trust, and respect.
This type of relationship increases empathy,
connection, understanding,
willingness to cooperate, and joy
it also serves to decrease stress, anxiety, fear, and reactivity of all kinds.

Holistic Approach
I work in several areas to ensure

ultimate success including:

SUCCESS

I create permanent changes by resolving the cause of the unwanted behavior,

rather than managing the symptoms.

When we cure the problem, the symptoms disappear.

*Note: Online evaluations, by necessity, do not work the same as when I can evaluate your animal in person and can be seriously impeded if the video quality or connection is poor, you have difficulty follwing my instructions, or there are too many distractions for you when we meet.

I've worked remotely with many, many people across the country, and even in other countries, with great success.
